Renee Young Speaks On Rejected WWE Pitches

Since her departure from WWE last year, Renee Young has been candid about her time in the promotion dating back to 2012.

During a recent interview with Justin Dhillon of Casual Conversations, Renee Young spoke on several ideas she had pitched WWE, including reviving the classic TNT show Tuesday Night Titans, with Mene Gene as her sidekick

“One thing that I’ve always wanted to do was bring back Tuesday Titans. I wanted to host it and I wanted Mean Gene to be my sidekick; that’s what I really, really wanted. We never shot a pilot or anything, it never really got any legs at all. Something like that I would have loved,”

Renee Young also spoke on other ideas she had, including a cooking show, and expanding her Unfiltered series to be more like a podcast.

“I pitched a couple different food show ideas of things that I wanted to like some cooking alongside some wrestlers. Trying to get a podcast kind of up and running which, I mean the pitches for those never really went too far anyways but, just like Unfiltered trying to expand that show, make it into something else. Interview shows are something that I love to do, just being able to just chat with people and just hang out. Tuesday Night Titans was something I really wanted to do though.”

WWE Tuesday Night Titans aired on USA Network from 1984-1986. The show was staged like a late-night talk show, with Vince McMahon and Lord Alfred Hayes. In the latter years, Mene Gene Okerlund replaced McMahon as the host.
