Last month, WWE announced AJ Styles would be traded from RAW to SmackDown for future consideration on a SmackDown roster member.
Styles went on to win the WWE Intercontinental Championship tournament, defeating Daniel Bryan on this past week’s episode.
Dave Meltzer provided some insight on AJ Styles having issues with Paul Heyman, following a report from Twitter user Rovert, indicating Styles had a horrible time on RAW.
Meltzer indicated that Styles was furious that Gallows and Anderson were fired, and felt Paul Heyman should have fought for them to stay.
The following was posted on the Figure Four Wrestling Forum
Actually the reason was that he was furious that Gallows & Anderson were fired. Blamed Heyman. Classic case of JR/JJ/Laurinaitis syndrome. Vince is the one who made the decision but I suppose he felt Heyman could have fought him on it. So he wanted to go to the side where the guy in charge isn’t fighting Vince on something like that either.
Paul Heyman was relieved of his duties as RAW Executive Director this week, with Bruce Prichard now overseeing both shows.
