WWE has reportedly denied Andrade’s request to be released from the company.
Friday afternoon, Wrestling Inc first reported Andrade asked for his release Monday during the RAW tapings. Following their initial report, Fightful Select (subscription required) provided an update, revealing WWE sources “expected this for quite a while, and based on what they heard, it wasn’t it an “outburst” or a huge confrontation.”
PWInsider added, Andrade was “absolutely miserable” at the Monday Night RAW tapings on 3/8.
Dave Meltzer provided an update Friday evening, stating WWE denied Andrade’s request to be released from his contract.
Andrade has been off WWE television since October, and was not part of the draft. Ringisde News recently revealed, “his name is still not coming up in any capacity in creative meetings”
