Austin Theory returned to WWE programming this week during NXT on USA. This came after a two month hiatus from the ring, due to “an unannounced suspension”
Prior to his absence, Theory was a member of the RAW roster, aligned with Seth Rollins and Buddy Murphy. He has since been brought back to NXT, and has been removed from the RAW roster according to PWInsider.
For those who have asked about the status of Austin Theory after he returned to WWE NXT this past Wednesday, PWInsider.com has confirmed he has been pulled from the Raw roster and is no longer associated with Seth Rollins.
Earlier this month it was revealed Theory’s absence was due to suspension from WWE, but details were not provided. Many believe it could be due to allegations made against him.
Theory’s name was brought up during the #SpeakingOut movement. An underage female fan alleges Theory sent her inappropriate messages in 2018. Theory did not respond to these allegations.
Seth Rollins spoke with SportingNews prior to SummerSlam, and was asked Theory’s current WWE status. He did not provide details, but stated he was dealing with “personal issues”
He had some personal issues that came up so he took some time off to sort through them for the past month or two. It’s hard right now but we hope everything’s good for him so we hope to have him back sooner than later.
Theory last appeared on WWE Main Event at the end of June, teaming with Murphy against Ricochet and Cedric Alexander.
