Braun Strowman could be making his way back to WWE.
Adam Scherr (fka Braun Strowman) was one of the most shocking WWE releases over the past couple of years. The former Universal Champion remained in a prominent position throughout his WWE tenure, from being a member of the Wyatt Family to becoming the ‘Monster Among Men’, a gimmick he won various championships and accolades through.
Since his release in June 2021, Strowman has had eight matches on the independent scene, all of which he has won. Strowman has also remained a prominent figure in the ‘Control Your Narrative’ promotion, which is lead by former WWE Superstar EC3.
At several points over the past year, Strowman has been rumoured to be close to signing with various major wrestling promotions, including All Elite Wrestling and Impact Wrestling.
In the run up to Bound For Glory last year, reports emerged that IMPACT, more specifically Executive Vice President Scott D’Amore, had had discussions with Strowman regarding a potential appearance at the Pay-Per-View, however this obviously didn’t come into fruition.
However Strowman may be set to return to WWE, according to a new report from Fightful Select.
Fightful noted that Strowman has been discussed by WWE as someone who could potentially return to the company. While it can’t be confirmed that he’ll be returning to the company, his name has been discussed internally and pitches have been made to accommodate this.
It was also noted that people of influence within WWE haven’t confirmed the report to them, however also haven’t denied it.
Additionally, Fightful has confirmed Andrew Zarian’s report that there’s interest on WWE’s side for Bronson Reed to return to the company. Reed was heavily pushed during the black and gold era of NXT, and was then in line for a main roster call up before being released in August of last year.
Since his release, Reed has wrestled in a number of prominent promotions, including IMPACT Wrestling, NJPW, PWG and Progress.
