Cain Velasquez Set To Make WWE Return
Since signing a muli-year deal with WWE this past October, Cain Velasquez has only worked two matches for the company.
Velasquez had a brief match with Brock Lesnar at WWE Crown Jewel on 10/31, where he lost his opportunity at a WWE Championship in 86 seconds. He worked his second match at a live event in Mexico on 12/1, teaming with Humberto Carrillo defeating The O.C.
In the latest edition of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reports that Cain Valesquez next WWE booking is the 2020 Royal Rumble in Houston, TX.
It’s unknown who WWE will decide to put him in a program with, but this will also be Brock Lesnar’s next WWE date as well.
Whether the two will be paired up once again remains to be seen.
Valesquez has been dealing with knee issues, which will likely need surgery. It’s unknown if a date has been booked for that procedure.
WWE Royal Rumble will be held at Minute Maid Park in Houston, TX on 1/26.
