NXT Tag-Team Match Set To Be Taped At SmackDown
Next week’s edition of NXT on USA will consist of pre-taped matches due to talent having Christmas off.
During the 12/18 edition of NXT on USA, two matches were announced for next week’s show, despite not having a television booked.
WWE has plans to air four matches on the 12/25 episode of NXT, including Lio Rush and Keth Lee vs. Tony Nese and Damien Priest, which according to Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer will be taped on 12/20 during the SmackDown event in Brooklyn, NY.
WWE also plans to air an “Open Challenge” for Roderick Strong’s North American Championship. The match was taped on 12/11, and features Strong defending the title against Austin Theory.
WWE also taped two matches during this past week’s NXT television, including Candice LeRae vs. Taynara and Bianca Belair vs. Shotzi Blackheart
WWE plans to air another pre-taped episode on 1/1, which will include results from the yearly NXT awards.
