WWE is once again releasing talent from their NXT brand.
On Friday afternoon, it emerged that several NXT talents had been released by WWE per Fightful, including some who were in storylines.
The first was Dakota Kai, who had been with WWE since 2016. During her time with the company, Kai was involved in various high-profile storylines, competed in the Mae Young Classic and was a two-time NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion with Raquel Gonzalez.
Next was Malcolm Bivens, who for almost a year has managed top NXT stable Diamond Mine. Bivens signed with WWE in early 2019, and has managed various talents as part of the NXT brand. It was noted by Fightful that WWE had asked Bivens to re-sign in February, however he had made it clear that he didn’t want to.
Bivens has taken to Twitter to comment on the release, as you can see below.

Another name released was Harland (Parker Boudreaux), who upon signing last year was hailed the ‘next big thing’, with comparisons being drawn to Brock Lesnar. Boudreaux was also praised by Paul Heyman upon signing with WWE. Boudreaux, who was renamed ‘Harland’ in NXT, was the bodyguard of Joe Gacy who will be challenging Bron Breakker for the NXT Championship next Tuesday.
Paige Prinzivalli, Vish Kanya, Draco Anthony, Persia Pirotta, Raelyn Divine and Mila Malani have also been released by WWE. Draco Anthony recently faced Harland and Xyon Quinn on NXT, and Pirotta was involved in a storyline with Indi Hartwell, Dexter Lumis and Duke Hudson.
UPDATE: Dexter Lumis has also been released, per Fightful.
