IMPACT Wrestling Champion Working On Per-Appearance Basis
Shortly after her release from WWE, Deonna Purrazzo returned to IMPACT Wrestling, immediately inserting herself as top contender in the female division.
During Saturday night’s Slammiversary pay-per-view, Purrazzo defeated Jordayne Grace to capture the Knockouts Championship.
According to Fightful Select (subscription required), Deonna Purrazzo has been working without an IMPACT Wrestling contract. It was believed she would not win the title due to not having a deal with the company, yet she remains on a per-appearance basis.
Purrazzo was released from WWE during massive company cuts in April. NXT talent were bound by 30-day non-compete clauses, which allowed her to appear on IMPACT television soon after.
Kylie Rae won a Gauntlet Match at the pay-per-view, setting up a future title opportunity.
