A Former WWE Champion Is Set To Be Inducted Into The 2021 WWE Hall Of Fame.

Former WWE Champion Rob Van Dam will be included in the 2021 Hall Of Fame Class, as per Fightful Select.

During his time in WWE, Rob Van Dam picked up various championships, along with winning Money In The Bank and becoming WWE Champion in 2006.

Fightful Select (subscription required) reports that Dam will be inducted into the Hall Of Fame as part of the 2021 Class, which hasn’t yet been fully announced.

Dam’s last appearance in WWE saw him make a surprise cameo during the ‘Raw Reunion’ show in 2019, however he hasn’t actually competed in WWE since 2014 when he parted ways with the company. Following his WWE departure, Dam spent time on the independent scene before returning to Impact Wrestling in 2019, where he worked with several other legends and younger talents up to when he left the company last September.

Dam recently revealed that he would be appearing in an upcoming WWE ‘Icons’ documentary, which will detail his wrestling career. The documentary will be released this May.

This year’s WWE Hall Of Fame ceremony will see both the 2020 and 2021 classes inducted. The 2020 class consists of Bella Twins, Jushin ‘Thunder’ Liger, nWo, JBL & British Bulldog. Batista was announced for the 2020 class, however has since been pulled from advertising. WWE has revealed Molly Holly and Eric Bischoff for the 2021 class thus far.
