WWE is in the process of booking Wrestlemania 37, their biggest event of the year, which is less than 6 months away.
Twitter insider Wrestlevotes revealed various scenarios WWE had discussed, including a major mixed tag-team match.
One scenario had Alexa Bliss and “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt vs. Edge and Beth Phoenix. WWE reportedly scrapped that plan, and then had the idea of Edge vs. The Fiend, but ultimately decided the long standing plan to have Edge vs. Randy Orton will likely take place.
WrestleMania update: Source states that while Edge vs Randy Orton has been the long standing plan, and still is at the moment, the idea of Edge vs The Fiend has been discussed a great deal for the show.
Further: source states the initial idea came up as names were thrown around as possible opponents for a Wyatt & Bliss team at Mania. Edge & Beth Phoenix were mentioned. Source states both matches are “unlikely”. Orton vs Edge remains the plan as of now.

Earlier this month, reports surfaced WWE may push back the date of Wrestlemania 37, from from 3/28 to either 4/11 or 4/18. The report indicates the thought process behind the delay may help out in ensuring fans can be in attendance for the show.
While not officially announced, WWE is planning on hosting Wrestlemania 37 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, FL, and Wrestlemania 38 at SoFI Stadium outside Los Angeles, CA.
