Jon Moxley is currently dealing with an injury.
According to Dave Meltzer in the The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Jon Moxley was being extra cautious during his latest independent dates with Northeast Wrestling. Moxley is dealing with an elbow injury, which may be the result of an infection he got in Japan.
Moxley was originally scheduled to be in singles match at the Northeast Wrestling event on 8/16 in Poughkeepsie, NY, but was turned into a tag-team match due his injury. Moxley was adamant that his match the day before against Pentagon Jr. remained a singles match, but was very careful not to bump on the injured elbow.
The fact that he was still able to perform the independent dates last weekend is a good indication he won’t be sidelined prior to AEW’s next pay-per-view.
Jon Moxley is scheduled to face Kenny Omega at All Out in Chicago on 8/31. Whether or not his elbow is at 100% is still unclear.
