One half of The Kabuki Warriors could be exiting the WWE in early 2020.
According to Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer, Kairi Sane’s current WWE deal is set to expire in early 2020, and she is exploring other options.
Takaaki Kidani, head of Bushiroad, parent company of Stardom, recently spoke with Tokyo Sports and expressed interest in signing Kairi Sane and Io Shirai once their WWE deals expire.
In late 2016, WWE offered Sane a contract, which would start the following year. Sane signed with three-year deal with WWE in March 2017. She was in negotiations with WWE for several months prior to inking a deal and moving to the United States. When Sane originally signed with WWE she was making $60,000 per year, much less than she was making in Japan.
It’s unknown if Sane did sign a contract extension with the company, or how much of a raise she recieved when moving to the main roster.
