WWE continues to make cutbacks, with several other employees terminated from the company Friday.
According to Wrestling Inc., between 12-15 people from WWE’s live events division were let go today, including a high ranking Vice President. The report indicates the the live events department is “in shambles”, and would seemingly confirm WWE will not get back into doing live events anytime soon.
While the cuts were extensive, we were told that some of the “higher, higher, higher ups” could be retained.
WWE released upwards of 70 employees Thursday, the majority furloughed this past April during massive company wide cuts. This includes several WWE producers including Mike Rotunda, and Sarah Stock.
The source made it clear to us that the many of WWE’s furloughed employees will be let go. The cutbacks were described to us as “spreading like wildfire” in every part of the company.
WWE’s last house show was on 3/7 in Detroit, MI. The company cancelled all touring in mid-March due to the ongoing health crisis.
