More NXT Call-Ups Reportedly Planned
WWE is reportedly planning on bringing more NXT talent to the main roster.
According to Fightful Select (subscription required), additional call-ups to RAW and SmackDown are currently in the works, including talent from NXT and NXT UK.
The report does not include names, and notes talent within NXT have been speculating among themselves on who is set for a main roster call-up. Despite specific numbers not being known, the belief is multiple names “have been planned or at least in the works for a while”.
During last week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown, developmental talent Eric Bugenhagen (Rick Boogs) appeared alongside Shinsuke Nakamura. He recently appeared in a WWE brand partnership with Old Spice as Joseph Average.
Over the last several months WWE has debuted a number of developmental talent on main roster brands including, Omos, Reginald, Shanky, Veer, and Commander Azeez.
