Mia Yim Was Scheduled To Debut On Last Week’s Throwback SmackDown

Ever since Retribution’s split in February, we have yet to see Mia Yim (Reckoning) make her return to the ring, however, we may not have to wait much longer.

Several days ago, Ringside News released a report stating how Mia Yim was set to make her return to the ring during last week’s edition of SmackDown, however was pushed back a week, a possible result of WWE being shorthanded with staff, which included the absence of Bruce Prichard.

Fightful Select (subscription required) has provided an update on the situation. The report confirmed the previous one from Ringside News, adding that Yim was set to enter a feud with Carmella, who defeated Ruby Riott during last week’s show.

Neither report included whether Yim would be returning to the ring as Reckoning or her previous character she used on NXT,  based on her recent Instagram posts, it’s more likely that she’ll be using the latter moving forward.

This was eventually cut from the show, as WWE had to provide time for the ‘throwback’ segments, which included highlights of notable moments in SmackDown’s past.

Mia Yim made her main roster debut last summer as a member of Retribution, with her last match being a loss to Nikki Cross on Main Event back in December.
