WWE’s Tag Team division took a hit last Monday with the break-up of Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin.
The former Hurt Business members picked up the Raw Tag Team Championships during their time in the faction, however after a mistake from Shelton caused WWE Champion Bobby Lashley to turn on his teammates, the team have continuously lost matches on Raw.
Following their loss against Lucha House Party on Raw, Cedric Alexander grabbed a microphone and announced the end of his partnership with Shelton. A feud between the two was hinted at later in the show, with Shelton cutting a backstage promo on Alexander.
PWInsider reports that Cedric Alexander will now be a heel going forward, with Shelton Benjamin switching to a babyface, with a potential feud on the two’s horizon.
Nothing has been announced for their potential feud, however, their former teammate Bobby Lashley will be defending his WWE Championship against Braun Strowman and Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania Backlash on Sunday, May 16.
