AEW and Impact Wrestling’s partnership kicked off last night when the new AEW Champion Kenny Omega and Don Callis were interviewed as the main event segment of Impact. However former AEW Champion may have never been “All Elite”.
According to Cassidy Haynes of Bodyslam.net, Sami Callihan previously attempted to court Jon Moxley into Impact Wrestling following his departure from WWE last year, however he obviously wasn’t successful as Moxley debuted in AEW only one month after he left WWE.
Moxley and Callihan were previously part of a group called The Switchblade Conspiracy on the independent scene.
The two former partners may still end up meeting up on TV again as Callihan has recently teased a reunion via his Twitter.
