AJ Styles Might Be Getting An On-Screen Bodyguard
WWE may be planning on adding a new enforcer type character to the RAW roster.
According to Fightful Select (subscription required), there is has been talks of AJ Styles getting a bodyguard or enforcer to join him on Monday Night RAW. The current pitch has WWE Performance Center recruit Jordan Omogbehin for that role.
Omogbehin signed with WWE in October 2018, attending the same recruitment class as Chelsea Green, Mia Yim, Humberto Carillo, Daniel Vidot, Damien Priest, and Matt Riddle.
The 7’3″ Nigerian-born recruit is a former college basketball for the University of South Florida, and Morgan State University.
AJ Styles was drafted to Monday Night RAW during the 2020 WWE Draft, following a short stint on Friday Night SmackDown beginning this past spring.
Earlier this year, Omogbehin was brought to the main roster, and portrayed one of Akira Tozawa’s ninjas, before becoming the bouncer for Shane McMahon’s RAW Underground.
WWE’s plans for RAW Underground have since been halted, which would explain the reasoning behind pitching Omogbehin for another role.
