WWE is reportedly moving forward with a new NXT show, focusing on what’s described as a “NXT minor leagues system”
According to Raj Giri of Wrestling Inc., Paul “Triple H” Levesque has put together a team to oversee the show, with former EVOLVE owner Gabe Sabolsky leading the charge.
Levesque has reportedly given Sapolsky several agents and writers for the show, which is expected to launch in early 2021.
The idea is to create a show that was described to me as an “NXT for NXT”.
The original concept was to run shows in smaller markets, but due to the current situation with live events, it will be a television series instead.
While no details on name or length of show, Dave Meltzer spoke about a new one hour show on the WWE Network in the latest edition of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
WWE is also producing a NXT India show, with filming beginning January at the WWE Performance Center.
