Vince McMahon is reportedly unhappy with some talent’s safety amid the pandemic.
In the past year, WWE has had to deal with several Coronavirus outbreaks on each of its brands. One of the main impacts of the COVID outbreaks was that unlike the year prior, NXT didn’t compete at Survivor Series.
With the world slowly reopening, the amount of people attending events and parties is on the rise, and this has caused several problems for WWE.
Several in-ring talents were seen on social media attending parties and restaurants unmasked throughout the pandemic. Some of the talents issued statements and apologies upon receiving complaints.
Fightful Select (subscription required) is now reporting that a few weeks back, a wrestler or member of staff wasn’t wearing a mask at Disney World. This resulted in Vince McMahon issuing statements to talent prior to the Super Bowl, attempting to prevent wrestlers from attending parties unmasked.
The report added that WWE has reduced the responsibilities of several staff members after photos emerged of them being unmasked in public.
WrestleMania 37 will be the first show (excluding NXT) to have a live crowd in attendance. According to reports, WWE is expecting upwards of 45,000 fans each night of the show.
Tickets for the show go on sale this Tuesday, with single-day tickets and combo tickets, if you wish to attend both nights. You can read more on the ticket information here.
