Former WWE Superstar Wade Barrett will be making his return to the company this Wednesday during NXT on USA.
According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, Wade Barrett will be a guest commentator during this week’s episode of NXT. This is a one-time deal for now, and Barrett has not signed a deal with the company
Sources tell us this is just a one-shot deal for now and that the former leader of Nexus – who won the first original season of NXT – has not signed a full-time deal to re-join the company.
Wade Barrett signed a developmental deal with WWE in 2006, and worked for the promotion until 2015. During his time with the company he captured he became King Of The Ring, WWE Tag Team Champion, and won the WWE Intercontinental Championship five times.
Following his departure in 2015, Barrett worked a number of independent promotions, more recent the National Wrestling Alliance as a member of the broadcast team.
It’s unknown if WWE plans to offer extend any appearances past this one date this Wednesday.
