The duo, who have since changed their ring names to Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler were granted a release with no 90-day compete clause from WWE.
New details surrounding their release has been revealed from Fightful Select (subscription required).
Scott Dawson’s (Dax Harwood) contract was originally set to expire in April, and Dash Wilder’s (Cash Wheeler) deal was set to expire in June due to additional time added on due to injury.
WWE was planning on extending Dawson’s contract even longer than when Wilder’s deal was set to expire, but offered the pair a way out.
The company made a deal with the former Revival to hand over trademarks the duo filed with their own money.
The releases of Wilder and Dawson was finalized shortly before WWE publicly announced their departure. Both sides have been working on the agreement for quite sometime.
As noted in a report Thursday morning, WWE filed an opposition on three trademarks owned by the team.
On April 30, WWE filed two additional opposition filings for the terms “Shatter Machine” and “Top Guys”
WWE has 90-days to prepare documentation to block the trademarks from being published.
