In the wake of serious allegations against Matt Riddle, details surrounding WWE’s knowledge of the situation has been revealed.
According to Dave Meltzer, WWE was aware of the situation since Matt Riddle signed with the company in 2018.
“There is nothing that has come out with Matt Riddle that WWE wasn’t aware of years ago,” Meltzer stated during Sunday’s Wrestling Observer radio show. “None of this is new to them, even if it’s new to us”
Ahead of his SmackDown debut Friday, Riddle was accused of sexual assault by independent wrestler Cindy Cartwright.
Meltzer added, “This has been an ongoing thing that they are aware of, and obviously they have cone to a conclusion that he’s still there and getting a push”.
WWE’s statement following the allegations read, “We take any allegation of this nature very seriously and are looking into the matter”
Matt Riddle’s lawyer issued a statement on his behalf, indicating he has been the victim of stalking for the last two years.

In 2019, our firm had drafted a pleading against this performer to seek an injunction for cyberstalking in the Circuit Court for Orange County, Florida.
Matt Riddle defeated AJ Styles in his SmackDown debut Friday. WWE has yet to release any further statements.
