Las Vegas Allegiant Stadium Considered For SummerSlam

WWE has a number of locations in consideration for this year’s Summerslam pay-per-view, including Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, NV.

Over the last several weeks, several reports have emerged speaking on possible locations for WWE’s biggest summer event. Over the weekend, PWInsider reported the show is scheduled to take place on Sunday, August 22.

Earlier this week, Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio noted WWE was considering Madison Square Garden in New York City, but nothing has been announced or confirmed.

Fightful Select (subscription required) followed up with locations they have heard, including Las Vegas, Phoenix, and somewhere in Texas.

There have been several cities and locations discussed, but internally Las Vegas seems to be gaining a lot of steam

Days prior, John Alba of Living The Gimmick (h/t Comicbook.com) revealed Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas as a potential host venue for this year’s SummerSlam. The venue is located outside The Strip and can hold approximately 72,000 fans.

WWE’s last pay-per-view in Las Vegas was the 2018 Elimination Chamber event at the T-Mobile Arena.
