WWE Considering MSG For 2021 SummerSlam

WWE is reportedly considering hosting the 2021 SummerSlam pay-per-view in New York City.

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE may host this year’s event at Madison Square Garden.

“I’ve heard Madison Square Garden, oh I shouldn’t have said that…anyway It may not be, but it’s under consideration. It’s not like it’s been announced or anything”

Over the last several weeks, numerous reports have emerged regarding the possible location of WWE’s biggest summer event. Yesterday, PWInsider confirmed the show will take place on Sunday, August 22.

Over the weekend, Wrestlevotes reported WWE is planning to have SummerSlam as the kickoff for the company’s return to touring.

Last year’s SummerSlam was originally scheduled to take place in Boston, but was moved due to the WWE ThunderDome to the ongoing pandemic.
