In one month’s time, WWE will be presenting their WrestleMania 37 pay per view, which will see the promotion return to Raymond James Stadium in Tampa Bay Florida, the original venue of last year’s “Showcase of the Immortals” prior to the COVID-19 outbreak causing them to run a two-night show from the Performance Center in Orlando.
While two marquee title matchups have been announced for this year’s event, a new report has surfaced stating that the final card is still being determined.
According to WrestleVotes, WWE is not remotely close to having a final lineup for Mania, with many storylines reportedly moving back to “square one.” While WWE has played catchup before WrestleVotes notes that 30 days out seems like quite a rush to get things finalized, even for Vince McMahon.
As of this writing the only thing slotted for Mania, which will once again take course over two nights, is Roman Reigns defending the Universal championship against Royal Rumble winner Edge, and Bianca Belair challenging Sasha Banks for the SmackDown women’s title.
However, before we get to Mania WWE still needs a card for this Sunday’s Fastlane pay per view, the first event the company will hold on the Peacock service following a new billion-dollar deal. That event will see the Tribal chief defend the title against Daniel Bryan, but zero matches have been determined for the Monday Night Raw side of the pay-per-view.
Hearing the WrestleMania card is not close to finalized and “most of it is back to square one.” Even for recent Vince standards, 29 days out is bad.
