The former Raw Tag Team Champions were reportedly almost broken up during last week’s WWE Draft.
Since forming a partnership earlier this year, Omos and AJ Styles have dominated Raw’s Tag Team Division, holding the Tag Team Championships for over four months.
Despite this, WWE reportedly wanted to break up the duo during the Draft, according to WrestleVotes.
As noted by WrestleVotes, WWE were seriously considering the break up, to the point where it was the plan at one point. This was until people of power – including one main unnamed Raw talent – spoke up about the plans, and expressed how Omos isn’t yet ready to compete as a singles wrestler.

WWE have been known to go ahead with plans in the past, whether bad or good. That didn’t happen this time around though, as both Styles and Omos will be remaining on Raw, along with the likes of The Street Profits and The Mysterios once the Draft takes effect after Crown Jewel.
WWE have shown clear interest in Omos despite being kept in a tag team however, as he wrestled at WrestleMania 37 soon after debuting on the main roster, where he captured the Raw Tag Team Championships.
