WWE is changing course on plans to run Wrestlemania 37 outside Los Angeles next March.

As first reported by Gary Cassidy of Inside The Ropes, and later confirmed by Dave Meltzer, WWE is expected to host Wrestlemania 37 at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, FL.

The venue was the original home to Wrestlemania 36, but was canceled due to the ongoing health crisis. Instead, WWE ran a closed set inside their Performance Center over two nights.

It’s unknown if the date of the event will remain March 28, 2021, or will be changed. WWE has reportedly “locked in” a number of Tampa area venues for Wrestlemania week festivities.

Raymond James Stadium is now allowing fans to attend NFL games, with capacity cut to approximately 25%. The Tampa Bay Bucaneers Chief Operating Officer Brian Ford expects 16,000 in attendance up-coming games this month. Based on current operating practices, this would allow WWE to sell tickets for Wrestlemania 37.

WWE has yet to comment on this report.
