Former EVOLVE Star Reportedly Signs WWE Deal

Following the news of WWE signing Leon Ruff to a deal with the company, another name formerly of EVOLVE is expected to join the ranks of NXT.

According to Gary Cassidy of Sportskeeda, Anthony Greene has signed a deal with WWE, and is set to work under the NXT brand.

Anthony Greene was featured on last year’s EVOLVE 131 event, which streamed on the WWE Network.

With @BrandiWrestling at his side, @WWNEVOLVE's @retroag is a "new-school wrestler with an old-school feel" who happens to have the most spectacular fanny pack collection known to man.#EVOLVE131 streams THIS SATURDAY at 8 ET/5 PT on @WWENetwork! pic.twitter.com/FMXHJNnq6x

Greene has worked for a number of independent promotions including Chaotic Wrestling, Beyond Wrestling, Northeast Wrestling and World Xtreme Wrestling. He was trained by Ryan Waters and former WWE/ECW star Spike Dudley.

The report also indicates Curt Stallion is another name who may sign a deal with WWE, but that has yet to be confirmed.

WWE has signed additional former EVOLVE talent to contracts, with only two names known at the moment.

Following months of negotiations, WWE purchased the EVOLVE promotion as well as their extensive tape library.
