WWE Looking To Resume Live Broadcasts
WWE has been filming content at their Performance Center in Orlando over the last several months due to the ongoing health crisis. The company has been inconsistent with their taping schedule due to several factors. Some weeks the company films multiple shows during one day, while others they split the tapings over several days.
According to Wrestlevotes, WWE is planning to restart live programming later this month. The first live episode will be the August 21 edition of Friday Night SmackDown, two days prior to SummerSlam. WWE SummerSlam and Monday Night RAW are all scheduled to be live as well. According to the report all shows are expected to be at one location.
WWE has been looking into different locations for SummerSlam, which may mean RAW and SmackDown will emanate from the same location outside the WWE Performance Center.
It’s no surprise Vince McMahon wants fans in attendance, but that has yet to be confirmed. If the company does plan on having fans, strict health guidelines will be in place, based on local mandates.
NXT Takeover is scheduled to emanate from Orlando, FL, likely at Full Sail University.
WWE’s new plan is to restart LIVE programming beginning w/ the SmackDown prior to SummerSlam, continuing throughout the weekend w/ the PPV & into RAW. Fans are still TBD. 1 location for all. Not certain on exact location as of yet.
NXT TakeOver will still take place in Orlando.
