WWE has reportedly hired a new lead creative writer after they recently lost a member of the creative team.

As per Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, which was originally reported by Ringside News, creative writer Andrea Listenberger has quit WWE. Listenberger was released from the company in April 2020 as part of the pandemic-related cuts, however later rejoined.

Listenberger was best known as being the head writer for the Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville storyline, which primarily took place during WWE’s time in the Performance Center, before concluding in a match at SummerSlam.

The report noted that Ed Heller has joined Ed Koskey and Ryan Callahan as head writers. Heller has worked on several TV shows including ‘Ridiculousness’ and the Betty White show ‘Off Their Rockers’.

I don’t know if the two items are related but two people have indicated that they appeared to be.

The report added that many of the writers were upset due to WWE informing them that there would be no raises, promotions or bonuses, which led the company bringing in someone new. They did get $3000 worth of stock, however it needs to vest before they can sell it.
