Ring of Honor is considering major changes to their format of producing content, which include new ideas for differentiating the divisions within the company.
According to Fightful Select (subscription required), one idea that seems to have gained traction is determining if competitors are going towards the Pure, TV, or World title prior to a match beginning. If they are leaning towards the Pure, then Pure rules similar to the Pure Title tournament will be applied. Similar to if a wrestler is going towards the Television championship…then a TV time limit will be applied. There is said to be no time limit for world title stipulations.
These rules add a different layer of psychology to each of the bouts, especially the TV title contenders as they will also be competing against the clock. These new ideas are just the beginning of ROH attempting to change-up their product from other promotions.
