Stephanie McMahon Says Door Is Open Ronda Rousey Returning To WWE

Stephanie McMahon is hopeful Ronda Rousey will eventually return to WWE.

In an interview with TMZ, Stephanie McMahon said the door is always open for the former RAW Women’s Champion to the return to the WWE.

“Ronda’s been very public that she’d like to start her own family,” McMahon states “Once she does that, our doors are absolutely open, our arms are open, we are very hopeful that Ronda will come back home to WWE.”

Ronda Rousey’s WWE contract is set to expire on April 10, 2021 according to a statement WWE issued in 2019. “Ronda Rousey is under contract with WWE until April 10, 2021. Whether she wants to start a family is a private matter.”

In an interview with the New York Post last fall, Paul Heyman spoke on Rousey’s contract situation, and hinted she may have extended her deal with WWE, but that has not been confirmed.

“Everyone presumes that Ronda Rousey’s contract expires at a certain time. I don’t understand why people don’t realize that perhaps, just perhaps, Ronda Rousey’s contract has been extended or she has worked out a new deal and it would not benefit either WWE or Ronda Rousey to go public with that information. But why wouldn’t people understand that it would be kept secret?”

Rousey has not appeared for WWE since her loss in the main event of WrestleMania 35.
