WWE Concussion Lawsuit Update

Konstantine Kyros’ lawsuit against WWE has now come to an end with the Supreme Court refusing to hear the appeals from several former WWE talents.

The lawsuits, which were originally filed six years ago, would see dozens of former wrestlers attempt to sue WWE over not warning them of concussions and injuries sustained during their time in the company which led to long-term brain damage.

The lawsuits were dismissed in 2020, however, in February, lawyer Konstantine Kyros stated that he would appeal the rulings. The lawsuits have now come to an end with the Supreme Court declining to hear the appeals.

Following a 2018 ruling where Konstantine Kyros was criticised for failing to comply with the court’s orders, US District Judge Vanessa Bryant ordered him to pay WWE’s legal fees of over $500,000.

WWE’s Lawyer Jerry McDevitt issued a statement to AP on Monday –  “We’re glad it’s finally over. We were completely vindicated.”
