FTW Championship Revived In All Elite Wrestling
Taz promised a major surprise ahead of tonight’s AEW Fyter Fest special presentation on TNT.
The ECW original revived the FTW Heavyweight Championship, which he first introduced in 1998, during his time in the promotion.
Taz stated no promotion recognized the title, but anyone who holds it is the baddest son of a bitch on the planet, he then crowned Brian Cage the new FTW Champion

The title was originally introduced in ECW storyline following Shane Douglas not granting Taz an ECW World Heavyweight Championship opportunity. Taz decided to declare himself the FTW World Champion.
The original title reused an old ECW television title, with an orange strap, and Taz stickers covering the plates. The title would eventually be given a proper design.
The FTW Heavyweight Championship was united with the ECW World Heavyweight Championship in 1999.
