Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson is slamming U.K. tabloid Daily Star after allegedly fabricating an interview with him.
The story, which appeared on the front page of Friday’s issue had the headline ‘The Rock Smacks Down Snowflakes”. The story, which the tabloid billed as exclusive was picked up by major outlets worldwide.
The story quoted The Rock as allegedly saying “generation snowflake or, whatever you want to call them, are actually putting us backwards” and “if you are not agreeing with them then they are offended, that is not what so many great men and women fought for”.
The Rock took to social media to deny claims of the interview, and stated the whole thing was made up. The Rock stated ″The interview never took place, never happened, I never said any of those words, completely untrue, 100% fabricated.”

The Daily Star has since taken the story offline, and has yet to comment on the on whether the interview was fabricated or not.
According to The Guardian, staff at the newspaper suggest the interview was provided by a freelance journalist, and then written up by a staff member.
The freelance reporter is thought to be in the U.S, and is not responding to messages.
