Triple H has commented on former Forgotten Sons member Steve Cutler’s WWE release.

Last Friday, Steve Cutler was released from WWE after being with the company for over 6 years. The former Forgotten Sons and Knights Of The Lone Wolf member was a member of the SmackDown roster and had recently returned to television as one of King Corbin’s henchmen.

According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, Vince McMahon was unhappy with Steve Cutler after he tested positive for COVID-19 in early January due to McMahon promising talents such as Roman Reigns a sage working environment upon his return.

During the pre-NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day media call, Triple H was asked by Nick Hausman (WrestlingInc) about Cutler’s release, in which he replied stating how he has no knowledge on the situation as it had ‘nothing to do with him’.

“I got to be honest, I don’t have anything. I have no knowledge of precisely that situation, or what went into it. It really had nothing to do with me. We take COVID seriously across the board with everything. We are expecting our talent to be as safe as possible, we’re taking every precaution we can from a testing and a cleaning…just every precaution that we have been advised to take. I don’t know all that situation, I only know what’s been speculated to me and/or what I’ve read, but I’ve not specifically asked, and I don’t have that information”.

Prior to Cutler’s release, there were plans for King Corbin and the Knights Of The Lone Wolf to take on Dominik Mysterio, Rey Mysterio and Buddy Murphy.
