Triple H took part in a conference call ahead of NXT UK Takeover Blackpool II, providing his thoughts on a number of topics, including CM Punk and AJ Lee.
As per Alistair McGeorge or The Metro, Triple H spoke about wanting the couple to return to WWE, if it was right for all parties involved.
“If it was right for them, for the company, for everyone involved, then absolutely, ” Triple H stated ” don’t think that’s ever been a factor, of somebody saying, ‘This person should be here, or that person should be here.’ Incredible talent are always incredible talent—but there’s so much more to the business than just being a talented performer.”
CM Punk returned to WWE programming last November, appearing on FOX’s WWE Backstage series.
When initially asked if he would return to the squared circle, Punk stated he is not actively pursuing a comeback, but has live an experienced life to know to not say never say never.
AJ Lee on the other hand does not seem to be interested in making any comeback, and insists she is retired from in-ring competition. She recently stated on Twitter, “No thank you, I am very retired.”
