MLW and WWE Discussions ‘Go High Up’ In Both Companies
Over the last week conflicting reports have emerged regarding a possible partnership between World Wrestling Entertainment and Major League Wrestling.
Last week, Dave Meltzer was first to report on the potential deal in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, revealing the partnership would be similar to a prior deal the company had with Evolve, prior to purchasing the promotion last summer.
WWE is reportedly looking to have NXT developmental talent get television exposure, who may not already be working.
The next day, PWInsider denied the report, indicating there were no talks between the company.
In an update, Fightful Select (subscription required) has confirmed Meltzer’s report, stating conversations between both companies have happened, and go “high up in both companies”.
No further details are known beyond discussions being had.
