All Elite Wrestling TNT Championship Completion Update

This past May, Cody became the inaugural AEW TNT Champion, defeating Lance Archer during the Double or Nothing pay-per-view.

The reception of the title wasn’t positive from fans, with many wondering why it wasn’t as appealing as other championships in the company.

Cody revealed on Twitter, the belt will be finished on August 12, which is almost 3 months after its original unveiling.

During the AEW Double Or Nothing pay-per-view broadcast it was revealed that the title was not finished, and would still receive gold plating.

Following the event, Cody revealed during a media scrum the finalized version could be finished the following Wednesday during Dynamite, that clearly didn’t happen.

Red Leather, who was commissioned to produce the title took to social media to explain the challenges faced amid the COVID-19 pandemic

Platers are only working skeleton crews and only on emergency equipment. So the V2 will have nickel and gold plating added as well as another surprise.

Cody has been defending the title weekly during All Elite Wrestling Dynamite on TNT.
