Producers Responsible For This Year’s Royal Rumble Matches

The road to WrestleMania officially kicked off at last night’s Royal Rumble, with Edge and Bianca Belair locking in their spots for this year’s show of shows. Heaps of fans have taken to social media to compliment the event, with some going as far to call it one of the best of all time. It now seems we know who’s responsible for this year’s matches.

Ringside News reports that for the men’s side of things, Jamie Noble, Shane McMahon and Jason Jordan were responsible for producing the match, with the women’s rumble match being produced by TJ Wilson (Tyson Kidd), Adam Pearce and Pat Buck.

As for the person actually running the show, that was reportedly Triple H, with Kevin Dunn and Bruce Prichard by his side. The report also noted that Vince McMahon wasn’t present for the show, however was still ‘very involved’ throughout the day via telephone. The reason for McMahon’s absence wasn’t revealed, however Vince’s brother, Rod McMahon, passed away on January 20th and Vince missed the following week’s tapings.

Rod McMahon’s funeral was held on Friday, January 29 in Plantersville, TX.
