The battle of the billionaires continues.
Earlier today Money.co.uk released their “Beloved Billionaires” list for the year 2021, which included WWE Chairman Vince McMahon, and AEW President Tony Khan. The purpose of the list was to find out about the most-searched, most-loved, and most popular of the world’s 1%, with Forbes estimating that there are roughly 2,500 billionaires in the world as of 2021.
Topping the list was the world famous Elon Musk, who scored an incredible 100 in terms of popularity and has a net worth of $202 billion dollars. Coming in at #6 was Khan, but it should be noted that there was an asterisk next to his name due to the wealth of his father, Shahid Khan. He had a popularity score of 55 with a net worth of $8 billion dollars.
Meanwhile McMahon came in at #8 on the list, with a popularity score of 38 and a net worth of $2 billion dollars. McMahon was #1 in the Fame to Wealth ratio while Khan was #1 in Positive Sentiment. Money.co.uk added that having McMahon and Khan in the top 10 was quite surprising since they are the “least wealthy” of those on the list.
They also noted how McMahon outperformed much wealthier personas, a move that gave him the highest Popularity-to-Wealth ratio of any billionaire. As for Khan’s #1 ranking in Positive Sentiment, money.co.uk discovered that this was due to 38% of his social media mentions being positive, more than any other person on the list. Khan’s success with AEW, as well as his work with the Jacksonville Jaguars and Championship football team Fulham, were highly touted in the article.
