In his final days, Harley Race was in dire need of financial assistance to pay for medical costs, and Vince McMahon stepped up to foot the bill.
Former WWE star Trevor Murdoch noted on Facebook, Harley Race required medical transport from St. Louis to Atlanta, which was not covered by Medicare. A call was made to WWE, and within 10 minutes, Vince McMahon paid for the costs in full.
Murdoch wrote the following on Facebook.
I just wanted to put this out there. Harley needed to be transferred from Atlanta to St.Louis. He needed to take a Med flight because he was in rough shape. Medicare wouldn’t help him. A call was made to WWE and 10 mins later it was paid in full. Vince McMahon never blinked an eye. He wanted to make sure Harley was taken care of.
Thank you Vince, you gave me 2 more days with Harley.
This is not the first time Vince McMahon has helped out financially to former WWE stars during their time in need. McMahon once loaned Ric Flair $800,000 to help settle debts, gave Mr. Fuji $10,000 when he fell on hard times, and paid off Madusa’s $80,000 IRS debt.
