Brian Myers recently spoke to Fightful Select (subscription required), where he discussed how he almost hosted a WWE A&E show and that he could potentially work as a WWE Producer in the future.

WWE and A&E’s partnership has seen several shows be produced, including biographies and WWE memorabilia hunts. Former WWE Superstars Brian Myers & Matt Cardona (fka Curt Hawkins & Zack Ryder) are known for toy collecting, creating the ‘Major Wrestling Figures Podcast’. It turns out that they were actually considered to host the show, however, the spot was eventually given to NXT Talent AJ Francis, who was also considered to host Raw Underground at one point.

Myers also revealed that while he was injured in 2018, Vince McMahon had asked him to work as a producer. Myers told McMahon that he wanted to return to the ring once he was healthy again, however is interested in working as a producer for WWE once his in-ring career is over.

Myers also noted that following the 2016 brand split, McMahon handpicked him from a list of available free agents to bring into the company. Myers stayed in the company until April 2020, when he was part of the mass WWE releases due to the pandemic.

Once his 90-day no-compete clause expired in July 2020, Brian Myers joined Impact Wrestling, where he still works today. Myers revealed that Tommy Dreamer had contacted him to bring him into the company within a week of him being released from WWE.
