Drake Maverick Advertised To Manage Baron Corbin

Based on up-coming advertising, WWE may adding giving King Baron Corbin a mouthpiece.

WWE sent an updated match listing to the Heritage Bank Center in Cincinnati, OH, which includes a street fight between Roman Reigns and King Corbin.

The listing states Drake Maverick be in Corbin’s corner for the match, despite the two not being aligned in any current storyline on SmackDown.

Other matches advertised for the event include

  • WWE Universal Championship: ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt vs. Daniel Bryan vs. The Miz
  • WWE Intercontinental Championship: Braun Storwman vs. Shinsuke Nakamura w/ Sami Zayn
  • Lacey Evans vs. Bayley (Bayley is not advertised at SmackDown Women’s Champion, but this could simply be an error)

WWE Holiday Tour Cincinatti

This is not the first time Maverick has been a manager in WWE. Maverick managed AOP in 2018, and had a one-night tryout as a manger for EC3 in a dark segment in April 2019.

Drake Maverick spent most of the summer of 2019 chasing the WWE 24/7 Championship.

Drake Maverick is currently involved in a storyline with Dana Brooke and Elias. He also serves at the General Manager of 205 Live.
