WWE is attempting to block two trademarks filed last year by AEW Executive Vice President Cody Rhodes.

As first reported by PWInsider, WWE is investigating two trademarks filed by Cody Rhodes.

WWE lawyer Lauren A. Dienes-Middlen filed a notice of opposition with the United States Patent and Trademark Office on April 23.

The trademarks in question are “The Match Beyond” and “Slamboree”.

WWE is requesting 90-days to investigate the trademarks according to documents filed.

Below are documents obtained by HeelByNature.com showing the request made by WWE.

This opposition comes days after Cody filed a trademark for the name “Cody Rhodes” after WWE let the name expire.
