The WWE COVID-19 outbreak could be much worse than original reports suggest.
As previously reported, multiple people at WWE tested positive for COVID-19, including in-ring talent.
According to PWInsider, one source indicated that the number infected to be in the “two dozen range”. Those numbers have yet to be confirmed by any other sources as of this writing.
WWE e-mailed talent and staff on Monday, informing them of the new positive COVID-19 test in the company, advising them to get tested. During the This is when multiple positive tests were found
The positive tests are reportedly across many lines of business, including talent, production, staff, and talent.
The company informed talent that anyone working this weekend’s taping will need to take a nose swab test before working. Talent have also been asked to self-isolate, and inform the company if they are planning to travel anywhere beyond their local area for non-WWE related reasons.
WWE has altered their weekend taping schedule, which will now be double tapings of RAW and SmackDown on Friday and Saturday according to POST Wrestling.
Florida has seen a major spike in COVID-19 cases, 5,500 new confirmed cases were reported Wednesday, a 25% jump from last week’s record.
WWE has yet to comment on the story.
