Update:
As per Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer, WWE has postponed television tapings on Tuesday to perform COVID-19 testing.
WWE will be testing every one who was present at the WWE Performance Center on June 9 for COVID-19.
According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, a developmental talent has tested positive for coronavirus, the second known positive test in the company.
The following statement was issued from WWE’s Associate Medical Director, Dr. Jeffrey Dugas.
“A developmental talent, who was last on site at WWE’s training facility on Tuesday, June 9, has tested positive for COVID-19. Since that time, no other individuals that attended the facility have reported symptoms. However, out of an abundance of caution and to ensure the health and safety of the company’s performers and staff, all talent, production crew and employees on site at the training and production facilities will be tested for COVID-19 immediately. Following the test results, WWE plans to proceed with its normal television production schedule.”
WWE has been utilizing NXT and developmental talent as audience members during television tapings over the past few weeks.
In April, a WWE on-screen talent tested positive for COVID-19 during Wrestlemania 36 tapings.
The wrestler who tested positive is someone who has not featured on NXT television.
From what I'm told, the person who tested positive for COVID-19 in WWE was a Performance Center trainee. Not someone who is on NXT TV.
