WWE has edited out a racially insensitive remark from their Hulu version of RAW.

Remarks made by Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler during a match between Akira Tozawa and Austin Theory sparked controversy during Monday’s broadcast..

Lawler used offensive language during the episode, describing Tozawa’s senton as a “Ramen Noodle Moonsault”.

According to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, the condensed version of RAW on Hulu had the remark omitted.

Jim Cornette, who himself was surrounded by controversy due to insensitive remarks, came to Lawler’s defense.

So now people are mad at @JerryLawler for telling a joke. Now I understand why modern wrestling sucks, because most modern wrestling fans are such whiny little pussies they don’t DESERVE good wrestling. How do these people go out in public without breaking out in tears? #WHINE

Cornette eventually resigned from the NWA following backlash.
